Geotrans was founded in 1994; however its roots go back to the early days of the modern shipping business in Cyprus. A family-run business originally located in Famagusta and involved in liner shipping agency business, representing major shipping lines, carrying out Customs & Excise brokerage, providing warehousing, inland transport and freight forwarding. GEOTRANS has represented major shipping lines, with responsibility not only in Cyprus but in the whole Eastern Mediterranean - Cyprus and Greece included, with own offices. In addition to representing worldwide deep-sea carriers, GEOTRANS has established a freight forwarding division offering sea and air freight options through third party reputable carriers. The freight forwarding business has expanded rapidly and GEOTRANS has established a world-wide network with partners in every continent. The number of employees has increased to meet the demands of a greater number of clients and a logistics subsidiary has been created to provide specialist distribution services. GEOTRANS recognises the need to adjust to the changing needs of shipping industry and has worked hard to create a modern company offering one-stop global solutions. With around 40 agents world-wide serving over 100 ports and airports we offer our clients global freight solutions both by sea and by air, whether full-container loads or smaller groupage cargo consolidated in our weekly groupage consignments from all over the world.
